The Network of ASEAN CBR Defence Experts (“ASEAN CBR Network”) aims to be a hub that brings together CBR technical experts from ASEAN Member States (AMS) to enhance regional capabilities in the handling of CBR materials. This will be achieved through (a) workshops to promote cooperation; (b) technical training courses to share expertise and; (c) mutual visits to facilitate exchanges. The network’s web portal provides a platform for the CBR technical experts to share information, and serves as a repository for CBR-related technical resources.

For a start, the ASEAN CBR Network will focus on regional CBR capability-building activities for AMS and promote an effective understanding of regional CBR expertise. This will subsequently pave the way for AMS to develop expeditious responses to CBR incidents.
